Agriculture Development Laboratories (ADL) have been set up at Sriganganagar in Rajasthan and Agra in Uttar Pradesh. The two laboratories carry out soil and water tests.
Soil tests are done for micro nutrients and based on the reports soil mapping is done. So far the two soil testing laboratories have carried out over four lac soil tests. These results are electronically stored and data is maintained on soil health.
Besides soil and water tests, the two ADLs also provide training at the laboratories and in the fields on various issues relating to agriculture and soil health. A dedicated team of scientists constantly partner the State Departments of Agriculture, KVKs, Agriculture Universities and experts to combine the expertise for the farmers’ benefit.
In addition to the two ADLs, soil testing labs have been set up elsewhere and this service will be rapidly expanded. The soil tests are done free of charge for members of Uttam Bandhan. |
