Chambal Furtilisers Environmental Initiatives
Chambal’s commitment towards environment has been paramount. Even before the plants were put up, it took on tree plantation around the proposed site. A number of roads around the plant have been lined with trees. It has created a green cover on what was a rocky wasteland and where the Gadepan complex stands today. Within the campus it has created a forest area. In the village schools it takes up a number of programmes to bring awareness on environmental issues. It supports environmental groups and government initiatives for a cleaner atmosphere.
Chambal Wild Life Preservation
Chambal is one of the few corporate to back the cause of wild life protection. It created a corpus that is jointly managed by Hadoti Naturalists Society (a local body), Forest Department of Govt. of Rajasthan and the company to preserve the habitat of some endangered species like the Great Indian Bustard, Indian Wolf, Fox, Black Buck, Chinkara and some others at Sorsan preserve in Baran district. Thanks to this effort the preserve has not just been saved but the habitat has improved over the past two decades. Within its green campus there are over a hundred different species of birds some of them are endangered and many are migratory that have made the campus a home.

Chambal Water Management
Water is a matter of global concern and Chambal has taken up watershed projects in Rajasthan and constructed an anicut over Kali Sindh, one of the most important rivers of the Hadoti Region. Within the complex it has initiated rain water harvesting and does water audit for even domestic consumption to conserve this precious resource. In the field, it educates farmers on water conservation and emphasizes on reducing waste.
