Elementary Education |

Basic infrastructure like classrooms,furniture, toilets and sports facilities have been built in government schools. Students have been provided scholarship, books and sports equipment. Modest as these steps are, they provide opportunities for quality education in rural areas.

Technical Training |

To help address the issue of rural unemployment, Chambal helps by providing Technical Training. The training is broad based covering areas such as computers, driving and road safety, motor rewinding, electrical repairs, AC and refrigerator repairs, maintenance of tractors, pump sets etc. The training is provided by experts often at ITIs thus opening avenues for rural youth to get started in life.

Elementary Health Care |

A number of villages still remain deprived of primary healthcare due to lack of facilities. Chambal provides basic healthcare by organizing health camps in villages. Drives for immunization, sanitation, eye-care and blood donation are taken up regularly. Awareness programmes on HIV/AIDS, family planning, health and hygiene are conducted for the villagers as preventive healthcare measures. Through the Uttam Mahila Samiti, a mobile van with a doctor and trained nurse visit the villages around the Plant providing check-ups and medication for free.

Women Empowerment |

Chambal has supported women by providing specialized training in making papad, pickle and detergent, processing spices, sewing etc. These small steps may go a long way in helping women march shoulder to shoulder with men.

Rural Infrastructure |

Chambal has been providing support in the form of creating basic infrastructure in villages. Stone pavements, drains and gravel roads have been constructed. To cater to the drinking water requirements, tube wells, hand pumps and water tanks have been provided. At government dispensaries Chambal has been providing furniture, fixtures and essential equipments. This improvement in Rural Infrastructure is an on-going affair and each year a provision is made to cater to such needs.

Sports, Art and Culture |

Chambal pays special attention to encourage youth by organizing rural sports and providing sports equipment and facilities. Sponsoring badminton, volleyball, hockey, kite flying, cricket, athletics, kabbadi and wrestling have helped to inculcate a sportsman spirit in the youth. Through sponsorship and active participation, art and culture is promoted. Chambal provides support in festivities like Ram Lila, Dussehra, Holi and local events which help to spread a message of harmony.
